About Me
- Name: The Moody Minstrel
- Location: Namegata City, Ibaraki, Japan
I was born on a rainy day on the Oregon Coast (no surprises there) and through a rather convoluted sequence of events wound up in Japan. I'm a teacher by trade, moonlighting as a musician and composer. I also do quite a bit of writing on the side. I'm a dreamer, a thinker, a sayer, and a doer all wrapped in one deceptively mild-mannered package.

This is easily my favourite picture. I reminds me of Wazuka. I should trek the Japanese forest sometime, it's going to be a good one for sure!
I was really surprised by the landscape in this part of Kyoto. In all the times I'd been to that city, I'd never once gone up into the surrounding mountains. It is really beautiful up there. As Dewkid pointed out in a comment for the next picture, it also reminds me a lot of my native Oregon.
